15 Great commission/Making disciple

Mat 28:16 But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had given them orders to go.
Mat 28:17 And when they saw him they gave him worship: but some were in doubt.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came to them and said, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go then, and make disciples of all the nations, giving them baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to keep all the rules which I have given you: and see, I am ever with you, even to the end of the world.

Great commission asks us to not only GO to the world, and, Make disciple ( Purpose ), also, this order is given to the disciple, so, before you GO, you should be a disciple already

Next, it repeats, how to make disciple: Teach whatever rules Jesus give to them, and train them to obey

Let’s see what is disciple from other bible verses:

Jhn 8:31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who had faith in him, If you keep my word, then you are truly my disciples;

And disciple could understand the truth, and truth will make us free

Jhn 8:32 And you will have knowledge of what is true, and that will make you free.

However, all our bible teaching is let us know GOD, why Jesus mention about disciple, because

Rom 1:19 Because the knowledge of God may be seen in them, God having made it clear to them.
Rom 1:20 For from the first making of the world, those things of God which the eye is unable to see, that is, his eternal power and existence, are fully made clear, he having given the knowledge of them through the things which he has made, so that men have no reason for wrongdoing:
Rom 1:21 Because, having the knowledge of God, they did not give glory to God as God, and did not give praise, but their minds were full of foolish things, and their hearts, being without sense, were made dark.

From the above verse, we will know, GOD have make him known to us through nature. The only thing left is which one is the true GOD, And, this is the work of disciple

Below is the warning of going astray

Rom 1:28 And because they had not the mind to keep God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an evil mind, to do those things which are not right;

Some of them, see the eating, drinking, pleasing themself as their GOD

Phl 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose god is the stomach, and whose glory is in their shame, whose minds are fixed on the things of the earth.

So, what is the purpose GOD come to the world

Jhn 12:46 I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who has faith in me will go on living in the dark.

However, people want to keep doing evil thing, that is reason they are judged

Jhn 3:19 And this is the test by which men are judged: the light has come into the world and men have more love for the dark than for the light, because their acts are evil.

However, GOD still point us the right path:

Mat 7:13 Go in by the narrow door; for wide is the door and open is the way which goes to destruction, and great numbers go in by it.
Mat 7:14 For narrow is the door and hard the road to life, and only a small number make discovery of it.

Once, you start to become disciple, the following situation will occur

Luk 12:51 Is it your opinion that I have come to give peace on earth? I say to you, No, but division:
Luk 12:52 For from this time, a family of five in one house will be on opposite sides, three against two and two against three.
Luk 12:53 They will be at war, the father against his son, and the son against his father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.

However a true disciple has been equipped by following the Bible verses. Please see (14 faith), you will know that everything seems bad, however, it is GOD’s grace to strengthen your faith. So, when we evangelize  other people, we have to know how to ask questions in order to know where they are:

Eph 4:29 Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only what is good for giving necessary teaching, and for grace to those who give ear.
1Co 3:6 I did the planting, Apollos did the watering, but God gave the increase.

So, by asking questions to proceed with GOD’s work

1 Nicodemus style: Since other already believed, you can have straight talk

Jhn 3:2 He came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we are certain that you have come from God as a teacher, because no man would be able to do these signs which you do if God was not with him.

Jesus say: You must be reborn
